Journey

I'm on a journey.

This journey is unlike any journey. This journey is to take me to my Father. This journey is to bring me closer to my God, my Baba, my Papa...you get the idea.

It took me a long time to get to the place where I'm finally ready to take this journey. It's a shame really because my family is steeped in God and for whatever reason, it passed me by. But I have to reevaluate my earlier thought about it being a shame. Is it? I'm not going to say, "better late than never" because I feel in this case it doesn't apply. It's more about the timing being right.

I'm a coconut head. Meaning, I'm so hardheaded, it's not even funny. For an idea to finally get in, my head, like a coconut, has to be split, metaphorically speaking of course, for it to sink in. Trust me, my head has been split, well well.

I thank God, truly, for His Grace and Mercy and Kindness. Why? He has been patiently waiting for me all this time to make my way to Him and has welcomed me with open arms. Although, I wonder how much time He would've given me before I found my way. The path was always there, I just wasn't able to read the map. But luckily for me, He turned on the light.

I like the new me, I'm more at peace and if I ever get worried or anxious, I call on my Father and He guides me through. Life before Him was interesting. I was fearless. I was the type that lived for the moment and didn't think about the consequences of my actions until after. But after going home, back to my Father, I understand that all I've done and gone through, was to get me to this point.

There are alot of things that went on in my life that I have to wonder why God didn't step in and take control. The only answer I have for that is that His Glory had to be seen through me.

Mind you, I'm not perfect by any means, I'm still finding my way, but the light of God, in me, is on and burning. His Spirit has made a home in my heart and I have made my home in His.

Very very lovely post. As for you going through various things to bring you to this very point in life...I saw if you have not been through anything, how can you assure others that they can get through, how can you tell others He's real if He has done nothing for you. I am happy for you. The safest place to ever be is in the heart, mind, and will of God. *smile*

And the church sounds a resounding "AMEN". Thank you. God is all there is.
LOL. HEEEEEY, I got tired of coming here and there was no post. I always saw PASSION in big red letters reminding me that there was no new post. LOL. Then you mentioned that you were busy with Uni. It's all love

It is only when God is all that you have that you realize God is all that you need. He is perfecting you and preparing you. It is not about this life, but the next.
